Get updates on the
friends in your Windows Live network.
1. Check out "What's New"
The "What's New" feed at the bottom of your contacts pane lets you know what your friends are doing online.
See who added photos or commented on blogs.
2. Expand your view
You can expand the "What's New" area by dragging the blue line to see thumbnails of friends' photos and
other details. It's an easy way to stay in touch with what the friends in your Windows Live network are
doing.

Play games while you chat with your friends.
1. Select a contact and open a chat window
2. Click "Games"
3. Pick your game
There are lots of games to choose from: Checkers, 3D Tic Tac Toe, Uno, Rock Paper, Scissors, and more.
4. Play!
An initation will be sent to your contact via Windows Live Messenger. Once your friend accepts the
invitation, the game will open to the right of your conversation window and you can both play.

Get started by adding all your friends from Windows Live Hotmail and your
Windows Live network of friends.
1. Click the Contacts icon
2. Select "Add a contact" from the menu
3. Add your contact's information
Type their e-mail addresses in the field and click "Next".
4. Send invitation
You can write a personal message to your friend, then they'll be sent an invitation to join on Windows Live
Messenger.

Share photos with your friends while chatting
1. Select a contact, and open a chat window
2. Choose your photo
Navigate to your Photos folder and select the photo you want to share.
3. Drag and drop
Just drag and drop the photo onto the Messenger chat window to share it instantly.
